Fire Door Surveyor

Karntek Ltd, a reputable fire safety consultancy, is on the lookout for a Fire Door Surveyor to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings through effective fire compartmentation assessments.

The candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed fire door inspections and fire compartmentation surveys of buildings, identifying potential fire risks, and providing expert recommendations to enhance fire safety measures.

• Conducting fire door inspections, compartmentation and other surveys on a mixture of residential buildings and other premises across West London and other locations.
• Liaising with residents and clients whilst on-site
• Identifying breaches in fire compartmentation, including fire doors and assessing existing fire safety measures.
• Preparing clear, concise reports outlining findings and remedial recommendations
• Maintain professional CPD record of fire safety training.

• Relevant experience in fire safety, building surveying, or a related field.
• Proven experience in fire door and compartmentation surveying or a similar role.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Field based role covering the Central and Greater London area with occasional travel to clients further afield
• Prepared and happy to work alone/ remote working
• Be willing to stay away overnight for jobs which are over 1 ½ hours travel time
• Full driver’s license - maximum of 6 penalty points
• DBS Enhanced Check required (this is done by Karntek)
• FDIS Diploma or Fire Stopping qualification would be advantageous
