Location London Watford or Chelmsford with regional travel

Salary £ 55 000 - £ 65 000

A renowned construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team in the South East to deliver high-quality construction and civil engineering projects across the UK

• Managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects
• Ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget
• Providing financial and commercial advice to the project team
• Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities
• Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle
• Identifying analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks
• Managing subcontractor procurement payments and final accounts
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor ideally within the construction or engineering sectors
• Strong understanding of construction contracts tender processes and cost control mechanisms
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Membership with a relevant professional body (e g RICS) is desirable but not essential
