If you have previously been on the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) register and live in the East Lancashire and neighbouring areas, we want to hear from you.

We offer a flexible programme of Return to Practice and are interested in hearing from both full and part-time applicants and are happy to discuss individual requirements. We would love to hear from the following:

Main duties of the job
Your specific return to practice requirements will be discussed, and placements offered if we are able to meet your individual needs.
Placements would be in a supervised capacity within the appropriate professional team.
What we need from you
You will be required to:
- Register with the HEE Return to Practice Programme where HEE have funding available to support your Return to Practice.
- Complete Trust Induction
- Complete contracted hours
- Complete the supervision record evidencing your updated skills and knowledge
- Promote the trust values throughout your contract.

Please note - this vacancy is for professions recognised by the HCPC and will be in the form of an unpaid Honorary Contract position. In some circumstances a fixed term contract as a support worker may be possible dependent upon the needs of the service.You can apply for a Health Education England award of £800 to support you in your Return to Practice.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be responsible for- applying to HCPC to start the return to practice process
- completing your period of Return to Practice placement
- completing a portfolio record of your practice
- working within your professional competencies
- working within your professional scope of practice
- adhering to the HCPC code of conduct and professional practice
- submitting your portfolio and finalising your application with HCPC
- agreeing your placement and development needs with your supervisor
- working within the policies and procedures of ELHT and the relevant AHP department
- working under the supervision of your supervisor to deliver AHP services

- Please note that the salary advertised is for full time hours. If this post is less than 37.5 hours per week, the salary will be pro-rata. For posts on Agenda for Change pay-scales, new entrants to the NHS will normally commence on the first pay point of the relevant band.

In line with other NHS organisations in the North West Region, the Trust is now passing the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event they are successfully appointed into the post for which they have applied. Candidates can choose whether to pay this over 1-3 months as a deduction from the monthly salary.However, if you are applying for a post as a BANK worker, the payment must be made in full at the time of employment checks. The cost of an Enhanced Disclosure will be £55.38 and for a Standard Disclosure will be £27.38.
