Job overview

We have a great opportunity for a Band 6 Targeted Lung Health Check Nurse to join our Cancer Team at Barts Health NHS Trust, with responsibilities across the Northeast London Cancer Alliance.

The Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) programme is part of the NHS Long Term Plan to improve cancer survival by the early detection of lung cancer. We are looking for a confident and dynamic nurse with excellent up to date specialist respiratory and cancer knowledge, and advanced clinical skills, who has a key interest in lung cancer, quality improvement and service developments. The successful candidate will be key worker for the patients undergoing the health checks required by this new program and their aftercare, signposting and support.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of the Clinical Nurse role is to process results of the Targeted Lung Health Check Programme as they are received, under the supervision of the TLHC Clinical Director.
