St George's Vets has been part of the IVCE Graduate Academy Scheme since 2016. Our Wolverhampton Hospital has the benefit of being in an affordable urban environment, whilst having regular rail and tram links to Birmingham with the Mailbox and Bullring shopping centres and multiple theatres.

There are regular train links to Birmingham airport close by. This is balanced by travelling just 5 miles West to some of our branch practices which are on the Shropshire borders serving local villages and farming communities. The Shropshire Hills and Wales just a short drive away.

We are a friendly and supportive team of 13 Vets and 20 Nurses with certificate holders in Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Medicine and 1 Cert AVP.

We have excellent facilities including CT scanner, endoscopy, laparoscopy, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, lab equipment. At SGV, we are passionate about client care, maintaining high standards of clinical care and learning and development of the team.

We are proud to say that last year we had 2 team members reach the final 4 in the IVCE Brilliant people Awards in the we share and we care categories.

Step into a supportive start

You will work 40 hours per week, a mixture of first opinion consulting and routine surgeries based over weekdays 4 days with a set day off. 1 in 5 Saturdays to be worked. No OOH which enables a great work life balance.

We have 2 dedicated GDP trained Senior Vets with 8+ years of experience in developing new Graduate Vets. We are constantly having 121 reviews with our graduates, getting to know their individual needs and are passionate about making sure all of our teams reach their own potential.
