An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant! Step Teachers are working with a primary school in Enfield to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Years 2/3. If you’re a passionate Teaching Assistant and tick all the requirements, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
  • Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.

Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
