Norwich - Year 2 Teacher
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team at a school in Noroflk. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to inspire and support pupils as they prepare for the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2.
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that pupils develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and personal development while creating a positive and engaging learning environment. This role begins April 2025.
Duties a Year 2 Teacher:
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Preparing pupils for their end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs) in a supportive and stress-free manner.
- Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupils’ progress.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support pupils' learning.
- Taking part in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2 (desirable but not essential for ECTs).
- A passion for early years education and child development.
- Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
