The Senior Portfolio Manager role will have their own portfolio of clients in conjunction with team management responsibility.The Senior Portfolio Manager role will have responsibility for:Individual Development Monitoring, working with 3rd party & in-house monitoring surveyorsEWI MonitoringCovenant MonitoringAnnual ReviewsProvision of additional debt facilities to support existing developments, if neededManaging post execution in-life activities inclusive of site visits, restructures and drawdownsFocus on customer retention & delivering a great customer experienceOrigination support to effectively onboard new customersPM have responsibility for all performing cases, working with the NPL team for under-performing and non-performing cases.Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities will be to manage effectively the team, proactively manage risk across the portfolio and within the Group Risk Appetite.The role will be required to work collaboratively with the wider Development Finance Team, Construction Risk, Structured Lending NPL and Real Estate Portfolio Management teams to provide a seamless client proposition.In addition, the role will have responsibility for:Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships with new and repeat borrowersIn conjunction with Business SupportActive Portfolio Monitoring for trends, concentrations, sub-sector variances etc.Market Analysis & Portfolio Reviews, plus Horizon ScanningConsider market, macroeconomic and regulatory impacts on the portfolio and take necessary actions where appropriate, including updating relevant Risk Committees on early warning signsInput into Asset Class & Lending PoliciesEnsuring Lessons Learned are embedded across the team, inclusive of watchlist casesSupporting key strategic priorities & projectsManage credit, legal and compliance risks on own portfolio and effective team controlsEnsuring the team has the requisite capacity & capabilities to successfully manage the portfolioSupport, guidance & coaching to individual team membersRegular performance feedback and performance managementEnsure the completion (within appropriate timescales) of ongoing credit stewardship activity to a high standard, including but not limited to annual reviews, MI / covenant monitoring, EWI reporting / escalation, Watch actions / reporting, Expiries and KYC / AMLDevelop and maintain excellent working relationships across the wider organisationThe role will report to the Head of Development Finance Portfolio Management.The PersonDegree/MBA or similar business qualification or equivalent work experience appropriate to the roleProven experience in Development FinanceDeep and broad business and financial acumenThe OpportunityShawbrook provides finance to a wide range of customer segments that value the premium experience, flexibility and certainty we deliver.
