We are excited to announce a vacancy for aSenior Clinical Fellow (ST3-ST5 equivalent)to join our dynamic and busyGeneral Surgery Team. This role offers the opportunity to work acrossSEU (Surgical Emergency Unit), Upper GI, and Lower GI, providing high-quality patient care and gaining valuable experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, participating in ward rounds, clinics, theatres, and emergency on-call shifts. You will also have the opportunity to develop your surgical skills, enhance clinical decision-making, and contribute to the ongoing improvements of the service.

As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will play a key role in themanagement of surgical inpatients, assisting intheatres, outpatient clinics, andemergency on-call duties. You will work closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care is delivered acrossGeneral Surgery, SEU, Upper GI, and Lower GI.

You will be expected to:
  • Participate in ward rounds and surgical clinics.
  • Assist in theatre with elective and emergency cases.
  • Manage acutely unwell patients under consultant supervision.
  • Contribute to clinical governance activities, audits, and teaching sessions.

This role will allow you to further develop your surgical and clinical decision-making skills, providing a solid foundation for progression in your career.
