Support Worker with Psychology Band 5

As a registered supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework, Direct Medics are working with qualified Support Work staff (Psychology) throughout the UK & Ireland to help them find new and exciting opportunities here in Northern Ireland.
As such, we are now recruiting for Band 5 Support Workers who hold a BPS Accredited Psychology degree working with children with severe learning disability and autism. This is a Locum role and will involve providing safe effective person centred and compassionate care for young people who have a learning disability and display behaviours of concern; as well as contribution to the assessment of care needs and the development of care plan, risk assessment and positive behaviour support plan.
Due to the nature of this post you will be required to be in possession of a satisfactory enhanced Access NI disclosure and Fit to Work certificate, which Direct Medics will supply for you free of charge. Salary starting from £16.28 per hour for the first 12 weeks and increasing to £16.94 per hour thereafter!
Requirements
Degree in Psychology or equivalent (BPS Accredited)
Have at least 2 years or more paid experience working with children with learning difficulties & challenging behaviour.
NISSC Registration
Full Current UK Driving License
Right to Work in the UK

- Safety Intervention Training (However this can be supplied through Direct Medics own Trainers if required)
- Free Safety Intervention Training Provided (MAPA)
