Accounts Payable Manager
Company
This is a growing and reputable e-commerce FMCG business based in the City of London. They have intuitive online platform that allows consumers to buy & sell luxury drink products globally, with a strong presence in several countries.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a hands-on Accounts Payable Manager to join their high performing team, supporting improvement on internal processes and managing the team.
Role
Reporting into the Finance Director, the Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the AP function driving best practice through process improvement and optimisation. This position will take on a number of key duties including:
- Lead process improvement for the AP function in alignment with the company financial strategy.
- Work closely with buying, logistics, and other key stakeholders to maximise balance sheet effectiveness.
- Drive cultural and technical transformation within the AP function.
- Lead, mentor and develop AP team fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Review any purchase invoice discrepancies, coordinating with suppliers if required.
- Manage intercompany debtors and creditor balances between various entities.
- Manage the correct processing of AP invoices (Cost of sales, Overheads, Fixed Assets & Prepayments).
- Support in reviewing group stock balances to ensure listings are accurate.
- Assist with annual audit and tax enquiries.
- Manage the monthly reconciliation of the cost of sales account.
Profile
The ideal profile for this Accounts Payable Manager position should have the following attributes:
- Proven experience within a similar Accounts Payable Manager position (or equivalent in a senior AP capacity).
- Experience in managing and developing teams.
- Prior experience in Automation / ERP.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Passion for process improvement and streamlining.
- Experience working with Inventory/FMCG/Retail would be beneficial
Salary / Package
£45,000 to £52,000 *DOE + additional benefits including:
