Our school caters to pupils aged 4-19, with a diverse range of learning and cognition needs. You will work with a small class of 9 pupils, including students from Year 7 to Year 9. • Ages: 4–19 years

  • Learning Levels: All pupils are working significantly below the Age-Related Expectations (ARE) in all areas of their development.
  • Communication Needs: A mix of verbal and non-verbal pupils; some use AAC (including Eye Gaze), while others use different communication methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized learning to support each pupil’s unique needs and abilities.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement appropriate activities that support students’ communication, cognitive, and social development.
  • Work closely with other professionals (TAs, therapists, and support staff) to ensure each child receives holistic care.
  • Use a variety of communication tools and strategies to support pupils, including AAC and mobility aids where necessary.
  • Encourage the pupils’ independence and personal growth.
