Job Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of lesson plans under the supervision of the classroom teacher
- Support individual students or small groups in their learning activities
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress
- Assist with classroom management and organisation
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant teaching assistant qualification or experience
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Experience working in an educational setting as a teaching assistant
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of child development and learning processes
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff
- Patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in education or child development
- First aid certification
Working Conditions:
The role may require standing for long periods, bending, and lifting. The teaching assistant will work in a school environment, following the school term calendar.
