Our therapy team are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and innovative physiotherapists and occupational therapists to join our sociable and dynamic team.

If you are currently a band 6 therapist, with inpatient experience and are looking for flexible hours, we would love to hear from you.

You could cover the orthopaedic wards, care of the elderly, general medicine, acute medicine, stroke and neurology and respiratory.

You will be required to work with other qualified & non-qualified staff to provide a 7 day service. You may have an option to cover bank holidays, weekends and our late shifts up until 8 pm.

Main duties of the job
  1. To perform advanced Physio and Occupational therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to determine a diagnosis and formulate and deliver an appropriate, effective individualised treatment programme.
  2. To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  3. To participate in the development and delivery of education and training for other health professionals.
  4. To undertake generic work in the inpatient setting of Physiotherapy/ occupational therapy to a competent standard.
  5. To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for patients with physiotherapy/ occupational therapy problems on the inpatient wards, working without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a more senior therapist is available if required.

  • DIploma/degree in physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of relevant CPD relevant to speciality

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Inpatient experience as band 5
  • Working within an acute hospital
  • Working within NHS
Desirable criteria
  • supervision and appraisal of staff and students

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Working knowledge of a range of injuries and conditions
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of clinical audit

Skills

Essential criteria
  • ability to organise, prioritise and delegate
  • Competent IT skills
