We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Post 16 Education, Employment and Training Officer to join our team in making a significant impact on the lives of young individuals transitioning from education to employment. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to post-16 learners, helping them navigate their education and career pathways effectively.The officer will work closely with learners to assess their needs and aspirations, offering tailored advice on further education, training opportunities, and employment options. Utilizing a range of resources and partnerships with educational institutions and local businesses, the officer will foster relationships that promote apprenticeships, internships, and job placements tailored to our learners' skills and interests.
Additionally, the officer will develop and implement workshops and training sessions that equip learners with vital skills such as CV writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. We seek someone who is not only knowledgeable about the current labour market and education landscape but also passionate about empowering young individuals to achieve their career goals.

ResponsibilitiesProvide one-on-one support and guidance to post-16 learners regarding education and career choices.
Assess learners' skills, interests, and development needs to create personalized action plans.
Develop and deliver engaging workshops focused on employability skills, CV writing, and interview techniques.
Maintain strong partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and training providers to facilitate opportunities for learners.
Coordinate job fairs and recruitment events to connect learners with potential employers and training opportunities.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of learners in their employment and training journey, providing ongoing support as needed.
Stay updated on changes in education and employment policies to ensure the best advice and resources are provided to learners.
RequirementsA degree in Education, Social Work, Careers Guidance, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working with post-16 learners in an educational or employment advisory capacity.
Strong understanding of the local and regional job market and education landscape.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with learners and employers.
Proficiency in using technology and software for reporting and tracking learner progress.
Ability to create engaging training materials and workshops tailored to young audiences.
Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Hours Per Week: 28.80
Start Time: 10:00End Time: 18:00
Pay Per Hour: £18.26
Location: Southwark, South East London
