You Are:

As a Sales Lead for Accenture Song’s Health & Public Sector (H&PS) Client Group, you will play a pivotal role in expanding one of Accenture’s most innovative business units across these highly regulated and complex sectors. We’re looking for a dynamic leader with deep experience across H&PS sectors, particularly in managing large, complex bids in health, government, and related fields.

You’ll lead the charge in bringing creative and technological solutions to clients, helping them deliver critical services and meet their mission objectives.

You will play a key role in shaping the success of the H&PS Client Group, working collaboratively to deliver high-impact solutions that meet both short-term objectives and long-term ambitions.

The Work:

Business Development
  • Shape and execute the sales strategy for Accenture Song within the H&PS Client Group, focusing on health services, public sector, and government industries, with a focus on selling marketing transformations and services.
  • Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to global goals by driving new business and growing existing accounts. This includes managing sales pipelines effectively and ensuring accurate forecasts.
  • Identify and capture new sales opportunities for marketing transformation services, leveraging sales expertise to shape high-value deals. Manage the entire sales cycle from qualification to negotiation and closing, ensuring deals meet client needs and align with Accenture’s strategic objectives.
  • Lead large, complex bids in the H&PS space, often over $10m, working closely with C-suite leaders to secure high-profile deals, serving as the overall lead on both single- and multi-service opportunities, particularly around marketing services.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies for marketing transformation, managing deal origination, crafting value propositions, and guiding deal processes to closure while ensuring compliance with H&PS procurement requirements. Ensure strategies are competitive, deliverable, and profitable.
  • Lead and facilitate complex negotiations, developing win strategies and close plans. Coach and guide deal teams, ensuring the right talent is involved at the right time for successful deal outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Management teams to enhance and expand existing client relationships, foster innovation, and provide exceptional marketing transformation services across the health and public sector landscape.
  • Create compelling deal visions through storytelling, active listening, and deep client engagement, supporting the development of sales strategies and managing complex deals throughout the sales cycle, including team engagement and work plan execution.
  • Engage Accenture leadership as needed, shepherding deals through internal approvals and ensuring they align with both client needs and Accenture’s organizational goals.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Extensive Business Development experience, with a strong background in the Health & Public Sector or related industries, and a proven track record in selling marketing transformations and marketing services.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and senior decision-makers in health and public sector organizations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills, with a history of motivating and managing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency, decisiveness, and adaptability.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Deep understanding of challenges and opportunities in H&PS, including public procurement processes and regulations.
  • Extensive client relationship management or delivery experience in large, complex, matrixed organizations, with a focus on health or public sector clients.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position requires approximately 25% travel to various customer locations within the Health & Public Sector portfolio.
