About the Role

We believe violence is preventable, not inevitable.
  • Do you have a strong track record of leading and embedding business planning within the public sector?
  • Are you passionate about developing efficient processes across teams?
  • Are you experienced at leading team continuous development plans?

There is a rare but exciting opportunity for a Business Manager to join London’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).

London’s VRU is focused on stopping violence before it happens through an approach that is rooted in prevention and early intervention. We use research, data and intelligence to better understand why violence occurs and we take action to prevent it now, and in the long-term.

We are a team of specialists who use our expertise to work in partnership with communities, local authorities, the NHS, public health, the police, schools and colleges and charities, to co-ordinate efforts and bring about change.

The VRU is a voice and champion for young people, families and communities.

We are looking for an experienced Business Manager with public sector experience who can ensure business functions of the VRU are working efficiently and business needs are met successfully through effective business planning. This will include leading business sustainability options going forward across the team, further developing our income opportunity plans.

This will include managing a small team and budget as well as close working and support for senior management and leadership. The post holder will have oversight of forward planning in relation to team development, leadership in relation to building team building and culture and coordination of team business requirements.
