Are you a tech savvy Data Engineer with strong Python coding skills?
You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on Data Engineer role as part of a friendly and supportive international team at a growing and hugely successful European car insurance tech company as they expand their UK presence; their platform enables an insurance quote to be made to the consumer within 60 seconds, using just 4 clicks.
As a Data Engineer you will bridge the gap between Data Scientists / Data Analysts and Software Engineers; from shaping the architecture and requirements, through to designing and building well engineered data pipelines and Data Warehousing solutions for data analytics and data science to support business growth in the UK using a modern tech stack that you'll be able to influence.You'll help lead the transformation by setting up best practices in areas like data modelling, performance optimisation and data governance.
Location / WFH:
The company is a big advocate of flexible working and prides itself on DEI; you can go into the London office as often or as little as desired and can work fully remotely from anywhere in the UK; you can also work at times that suit you.
About you:
- You are an experienced Data Engineer with advanced Python coding skills
- You have experience with Spark and / or PySpark
- You have experience of working for a technology / SaaS / software product company
- You have a strong understanding of RDBMS, Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases
