Quality Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Coordinator to join our Technical Department within the Quality Division. This role is crucial for maintaining food safety, quality, and hygiene practices across our UK business operations. The successful candidate will provide competent and efficient support to both technical and interdepartmental functions, ensuring the safety, quality, and legality of products and practices.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Complete technical information for internal and external reports.
  • Administer various databases, ensuring information is generated and logged in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
  • Inspect and assess raw materials and finished products against specifications.
  • Contribute to customer complaints investigations.
  • Audit site production and technical traceability and CCP paperwork to ensure highest standards and assured traceability.
  • Support the generation of quality statements, such as Certificates of Analysis.
  • Calibrate measuring equipment periodically, including probes and scales.
  • Perform GMP Audits and contribute to the improvement of site standards.
  • Complete Fabrication and Glass and brittle material Audits.
  • Accompany pest control personnel during site inspections.
  • Manage the collection, storage, assessment, and maintenance of production and raw material samples database.
  • Conduct internal audits, including Glass, Packaging, and Critical Control Points.
  • Ensure QMS documentation is relevant and request improvements where needed.
  • Conduct daily taste panels, record results, and publish to wider teams.
  • Perform independent temperature checks in freezer environments (-18°C).
  • Support the preparation of samples for customers and other departments as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 2 training.
  • At least 3 years of experience within the Food Manufacturing Industry is preferable.
  • Good level of PC literacy; proficient in MS Office.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Microbiology and hazards.
  • Flexibility and reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to organise in a busy environment.
