Field Sales Account Manager

Red Stag Materials Ltd. was formed in 2018 with the aim of providing innovative alternative products to the UK infrastructure services industry, particularly highway maintenance and utilities. The company is growing, with plans to diversify its customer base and expand certain product lines.
It is an exciting time to be joining the team as the business has committed to developing a new website using the Big Commerce Platform early in 2024 and there’s a huge untapped opportunity to grow the customer base across the North of England and the rest of the UK.About you:
The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be flexible, customer focused, commercial and ambitious to become part of a growing sales team. You will ideally have experience within the building materials industry, travelling to see customers, building relationships, and securing sales.
Our main product is an easy-to-use pothole repair solution, EZ Street Asphalt. You will be required to transport samples to potential customers and conduct demos – as such, the preferred candidate will need to be physically capable of moving and handling these materials.
What will you do?- Effectively manage and grow existing current accounts within your territory through nurturing strong customer relationships through meetings, presentations, and superior service
- Drive new business through proactive prospecting, networking, and attending industry events
- Manage and grow existing accounts
- Generate accurate quotes and liaise with supply chain partners for seamless project execution
- Maintain up-to-date records and generate reports in our CRM system
- Leverage our e-commerce platform to drive online sales and enhance customer experience
- Multitask effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- 2+ years in business development, account management, or sales (construction materials/civil engineering industry preferred)
- Proven success in lead generation, opportunity identification, and closing deals
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads (minimum 22kg)
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and consultative selling skills
- Experience managing and growing a sales territory or pipeline
- Proficient in CRM systems and leveraging digital sales tools
- Willingness to travel to meet with customers
- Self-motivated, proactive, and opportunity-driven approach
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Creative, driven, positive, strong communicator
