My client is seeking a Management Accountant on a contract basis to cover for a maternity leave. This is an exciting role working in a company that offers flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
Support the budgeting process by gathering and analysing data from various departments.
Help in the preparation of variance reports to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate financial records by inputting and updating financial data into accounting systems.
Monitor and analyse departmental spending, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Provide financial information and support to various departments as needed, including ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Assist with internal and external audits
Work closely with the finance team to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.

What you will need to be successful:

Part qualified accountant
Previous experience in a finance role
Audit experience
Good Excel knowledge
Strong team player
Ability to communicate in a clear and confident manner
Good attention to detail
Capable of working well under their own initiative and able to meet deadlines
