The Academy has a vibrant research culture with particular strengths in performance research, composition and musicology. As part of the latest iteration of its Strategic Plan, the Academy is developing its research environment and infrastructure in support of its research activities and profile.

The Academy has deep and widespread connections with the music industries, broadcasters and specialist educational providers, with a long record of extra-HE partnerships that fall within the definition of knowledge exchange.

We seek a Research and Knowledge Exchange Officer to work with managers and relevant academic staff to contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of the Academy’s research environment and range of knowledge exchange activities. You will organise, maintain and develop content for the research pages on the Academy’s website and will promote Academy research more widely.
You will be responsible for publicising research opportunities (including external funding rounds) within the Academy’s research community. Working with the Research Manager, you will contribute to the preparation of research grant applications and data gathering related to research publications, research funding, public engagement and research impact.

Working with the Deputy Principal, you will work to enhance the Academy’s KE profile.

You will need previous experience as an administrator in Higher Education with knowledge of research landscape in relation to performing arts along with ability to generate, organise and edit website content. You will be an excellent communicator and collaborator with the ability to relate effectively with staff and students from a wide range of backgrounds, be an energetic and a committed individual with the clarity of purpose to coordinate the contributions of many stakeholders, and the curiosity to develop your experience, skills and knowledge to meet the challenges of the post.
