Position Details:
- Location: Lambeth
- Contract: Long-term or permanent (depending on preference)
- Pay: Based on your main pay scale
- Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or PGCE is essential
- Experience teaching SEN students in a mainstream or SEN school setting is non-negotiable
- SEN school experience is highly desirable
- Clear Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Designing and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Individualized Support: Developing and implementing personalized learning plans (EHCPs) to support students' educational and developmental goals.
- Classroom Management: Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
- Collaboration: Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to provide a holistic approach to student support.
- Progress Monitoring: Assessing and tracking student progress, adapting strategies as needed, and providing regular feedback to stakeholders.
- Safeguarding: Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students in line with school safeguarding policies.
- Professional Development: Participating in ongoing training and CPD opportunities to enhance your SEN teaching expertise.
Applicants without QTS, QTLS, or PGCE will be considered for alternative roles such as Teaching Assistant, HLTA, or Cover Supervisor, depending on experience and qualifications.

- Proven experience teaching students with SEN in a mainstream or SEN school setting
- Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and teaching methodologies
- Empathy, patience, and resilience to support and inspire students with complex needs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
