Main responsibilities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues in the Trust.
  • Support parents in addressing identified issues which are presenting as a barrier to developing further their parenting capacity.
  • Support parents of children with signs of social, emotional, health or behavioural issues and work with them, school staff and other support agencies
  • Utilize a trauma informed approach to working with parents and their children
  • Support families to improve school attendance
  • Work with parents with financial management and nutrition planning as required.
  • Develop strategies to improve the engagement of parents and carers in school life
  • Develop parents and carers understanding of their capacity to support their children’s learning
  • Attend multi agency meetings as may be required regarding identified families.

The role is working across the three schools in the trust. Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential and successful completion of tests in these areas is part of the interview process.

First stage assessment: 26 November

Second stage assessment/interview: 29 November

What the school offers its staff

Kingsway Community Trust a Multi Academy Trust, which is made up of Green End Primary School, Ladybarn Primary and Cringle Brook Primary School. This provides the staff and children of both schools with enhanced development and networking opportunities.

The Trust is led and managed by one Executive Headteacher, and a Trust Board. In each school there is a full time Head of School who lead and manage alongside the Executive Headteacher.
