As a Lead Theatre Practitioner, you will have strong communication skills and several years’ experience in a senior or lead role. You will act as a mentor for more junior team members, helping to train and develop them. You will ensure that hospital policies and procedures as adhered to, and that top patient care is always given.
Qualifications Required:
NMC or HCPC pin number: The candidate must hold a valid registration with either the Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC for nurses or the Health and Care Professions Council HCPC for allied health professionals such as operating department practitioners.
Mentorship certificate: Ideally, the candidate should have a mentorship qualification, which would enable them to support and guide junior staff or students in their professional development.
Experience:
The candidate should have recent experience in one or more of the following areas:
Scrub: Assisting surgeons during procedures in an operating theatre.Recovery: Caring for patients as they recover from anaesthesia post-surgery.
Anaesthetics: Assisting anaesthetists and ensuring patients are appropriately managed before, during, and after anaesthesia.
