Providing front line clinicians and decision-makers access to high quality and timely data is a priority for Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOW) Integrated Care Board (ICB). To support this priority, we have invested in the HIOW Population Health Analytics tool called the population health platform.
Main duties of the job
.Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans for each new data onboarding process or analytic development, working with partners in Oracle Health, Optum and system partners.
Develop and deliver testing strategies and undertake manual and automated testing as required.
Work in partnership with Oracle Health and Optum colleagues to identify and enable technical and project resources to facilitate and deliver testing requirements.
Provide regular reporting to the population health analytics service team, population health analytics steering group, ICS Digital Leadership Team, and any additional governing or oversight Bodies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This is great opportunity to come and work within the friendly population health analytics as well as part of the wider partnership between the HIOW population health analytics service, Oracle Health and Optum.
There are a range of development work streams and projects – with the Test Analyst being instrumental in overseeing all elements of system testing required in bringing new data into the platform, developing new analytic content and creating new data sets.The Test Analyst will work closely with the Technical Lead and Analytics Lead for the service.
The Test Analyst will be responsible for creating detailed test approach plans for each new development, carefully documenting test results and presenting these results to leaders within the service. The test analyst will be responsible for highlighting any concerns or issues early, and working closely with colleagues in the population health analytics service team to overcome those issues.
The ideal candidate will combine experience in a previous test analyst role, be self-motivated, confident in developing plans and reports and experience working to tight and flexible timelines.
You will report to the Technical Lead for the population health analytics team. You may be asked to line manage a small number of team members in the future.
This is a hybrid role. The population health analytics service team primarily work at home, but you will need to be able to attend face to face meetings within an office on at least a weekly basis.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
Essential criteria- Relevant degree/ diploma; or equivalent level of training and experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development that enhances theoretical and practical knowledge.
- Recent previous experience within a comparable role
- Broad knowledge of testing theories, methodology and techniques
- Relevant experience of working effectively across organisational professional boundaries in complex organisations that have different needs/technical requirements and expectations.
- Demonstrable experience in a wide variety of testing environments preferably in the public sector, using a variety of techniques and tools.
- Experience working with data visualities tools e.g PowerBI, Tableau
