Hours: Full-time, 8:30 - 16:15pm Monday - Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and organized School Administrator to join our team in a nurturing special school environment in Leyland. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the smooth running of a school that caters to students with additional needs.

About the Role:

As the School Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, playing a vital role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the school run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing front office and reception duties
  • Maintaining school records, databases, and administrative systems
  • Handling communications with parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Assisting with staff scheduling, meetings, and appointments
  • Supporting the leadership team in operational and financial administration

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should be organized, approachable, and have excellent communication skills. You will need:

  • Experience in a school administrative role or similar office environment
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and school management software (experience with SIMS is an advantage)
  • A caring, empathetic approach when dealing with students, staff, and parents
  • The ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
