Are you a Registered Nurse looking to temporarily change your working environment, and develop your knowledge and skill set? Complex Leg Ulcer Service can support you with an opportunity based at Leg Ulcer Clinic, at Canford Heath Clinic.
As a complex leg ulcer Staff Nurse, you will support the ongoing development of the nurse led Complex Leg Ulcer management service. You will provide evidence based professional advice on all aspects of leg ulcer management to patients and their carers.You must be confident with assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care. Support and training will be given.
This vacancy is a part time role working 7.5 hours per week within the service, working a full day every Thursday. Extra hours on a bank agreement are available. Informal enquiries welcomed.

Main duties of the job
This job entails working alongside a healthcare support worker to treat patients at the leg ulcer clinic at Canford Heath clinic, Poole by providing individualised care and treatment.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Skills, Experience, Knowledge Base
Essential criteria- Substantial experience in Primary Health Care – (including Leg Ulcer management)
- Evidence of continuing professional development in Leg Ulcer management
- Competent in assessment, doppler skills and compression bandaging skills
- Ability to work as part of a nursing team and to deliver evidenced based care
- Tissue Viability Link Nurse within current role
