Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Outpatient department at Bournemouth & Christchurch. The successful candidate will provide a high standard of care to all medical and surgical clinics, across all Outpatient locations and should have a particular interest in vascular dressings and wound care and in developing own clinical skills for career progression in other nurse-led clinics.
The successful candidate will be expected to cover over any site but would be based predominantly at Bournemouth & Christchurch site.
We actively support professional development and provide excellent opportunities for individuals to develop their clinical and professional skills and knowledge. Willingness to undertake further leadership study would be desirable.
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years post registration experience, who is currently working in a Staff Nurse role, who is familiar with NHS IT systems and processes.
The applicant should possess excellent teaching, communication and interpersonal skills.

We have part time (30hours per week) available.
Shift patterns are : x2 long day shift, x2 half day shifts between 07.30-18.30.Base Location: Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital

Qualifications
Essential criteria- 1st level registration currently registered with NMC
- Teaching and Assessing in Clinical Settings qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- 2 years post graduate
- Recent nursing experience preferably in an outpatient setting
- Experience in an outpatient setting
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Be prepared to develop skills and knowledge in all clinical specialties
Technical /Skills Competencies
Essential criteria- To be able to work without direct supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Supportive of students
