An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the highly regarded Business Intelligence team at Stockport NHS FT as we continue to develop our data warehouse and Tableau business intelligence visualisations, transforming data into intelligence to support performance management, effective decision making, and service improvement.
Your expertise in the post of Advanced Information Analyst will be important to support operational transformation and improve operational productivity and efficiency. Reporting to the Head of Operational Intelligence you will work across all operational divisions providing, for all services, a rolling programme of demand and capacity modelling.
You will demonstrate advanced SQL and data visualisation abilities, providing advanced technical expertise in analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data/information to senior Operational, Clinical and Executive staff within the Trust.
You will develop new and insightful tableau dashboards to support improvement of operational productivity and efficiency. You will be a highly organised individual with strong attention to details and a commitment to providing high quality and accurate information.
The post is offered on a hybrid working pattern, working two days a week in the office as you will be expected to attend face to face meetings and provide support to colleagues working on-site.
Main duties of the job
Along with advanced technical and analytical skills, you will have experience in working with NHS data. You will possess excellent communication skills, working with colleagues across clinical and operational teams to understand complex reporting requirements.You will need to be able to present your complex analysis and interpretation to senior staff in a clear and concise format. You will be expected to attend a wide variety of meetings including with members of the executive team and you must be confident in presenting information.
You will also be skilled in data visualisation, delivering insightful and impactful analytics using Tableau. You will have excellent leadership qualities, be highly motivated and will ensure tasks are delivered on time. You will be proactive and innovative in your approach to problem solving and will be able to cope with competing demands and short notice requests.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Masters qualification and / or relevant experience in a senior analytical post
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Membership of a relevant Fed-IP recognised professional body (AphA, BCS, IHRIM, CILIP).
Experience
Essential criteria- Substantial experience in a Senior Information Services post
- Experience of demand and capacity modelling
- Proven experience in developing dashboards using BI tools (preferably Tableau)
- Experience of analysis of large multi-stranded complex datasets
- Experience of writing complex SQL
- Experience in working with colleagues from other disciplines and at different levels of seniority
- Experience of supporting business/operational planning or service improvement
- Experience of managing workloads with multiple priorities
- Experience of using Microsoft SQL Reporting services SRSS
Skills
Essential criteria- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
