Our client is one of the world's leading public service broadcasters.
Job Description- Fleet Management: Oversee a fleet of around 50 vehicles, including scheduling, allocation, and maintenance coordination.
- Logistics Planning: Plan and execute vehicle movement schedules to support the needs of various departments, including TV and radio production.
- Supplier Liaison: Work closely with vehicle suppliers, repair shops, and fuel providers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Compliance: Ensure all vehicles meet legal requirements, including MOT, insurance, and road safety standards.
- Budget Control: Manage and report on transport costs, optimising efficiency while keeping within budgetary constraints.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and supervise a small team of drivers and administrative staff, ensuring clear communication and smooth operations.
- Problem-Solving: Provide quick, effective solutions to transport-related issues that arise, minimising downtime and disruption to production.
- Proven experience in fleet or transport management, ideally within media or events.
- Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations, road safety, and vehicle maintenance.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budget management and a commercial approach to cost-saving initiatives.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of the broadcasting industry would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
