About us
The role is within a dynamic and forward thinking section of the finance department. Covering the Place and Resources & Transformation Directorates, Capital management, and Project Genesis which is the development of a new finance and procurement operating system.The council aims to be effective and transparent in its financial practices and this role plays an important role in delivering these outcomes.
About the Role
Managing a wide and varied team the post holder will be part of the service management team, who lead and oversee revenue and capital accountancy for their assigned services. It is therefore vital that the post holder can develop relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, whilst maintaining financial planning and monitoring systems, supporting corporate financial strategies, and preparing financial information.In conjunction with their ability to lead and supervise a team to ensure task completion with efficiency and quality. Additionally, you will assist in financial planning and risk assessment to ensure the organization's financial resilience, while promoting the finance function among senior managers and partners
About you
This role requires leadership values and behaviours alongside strong technical skills and a proven track record of delivering outcomes. It requires understanding of relevant legislation and having professional credibility through experience.
