The Role:

As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the care home, leading a team of dedicated staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered. You will ensure the home complies with regulatory standards and strive for continuous improvement in all areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring a safe, caring, and homely environment.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care for all residents, in line with current legislation and best practices.
  • Manage, motivate, and develop a large multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure all residents' needs are met.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, health and safety protocols, and other relevant legislation.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and occupancy levels effectively to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Develop and implement innovative care practices to enhance the quality of life for residents.
  • Handle complaints and concerns sensitively and professionally, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.

About You:

  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent).
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Home Manager or in a senior care role, preferably in a large residential setting.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and support a diverse team.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of regulatory standards and best practices within elderly care, including dementia care.
  • Compassion: A commitment to providing person-centered, respectful, and compassionate care.
