Job Description
The Maintenance Manager will report into the Site Engineering Manager and will drive capacity developments across a complex manufacturing operation working closely with Production and Quality teams. You will lead a talented team of engineers will be responsible for succession planning and development.
Other day to day responsibilities include:
- Effective management of the production maintenance through a team of Team Leaders and multi-skilled engineers
- Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to increase efficiencies using TPM methodologies
- Work closely with production management to minimize downtime
- Provide technical support and training to the engineering team
- Develop and mentor engineering apprentices
The Successful Applicant
The successful Maintenance Manager will possess a range of the following:
- Experience in a team leader or maintenance management role within the FMCG sector
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- The ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software
- Minimum HNC qualification
- Electrical bias with 18th edition qualification
