Internal Communication Officer

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000

Westco Communications is seeking a proactive and creative Internal Communication Officer to enhance the communication strategies within a key public sector client in Greater Manchester.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in implementing internal communication initiatives that foster engagement and improve employee engagement.. Working closely with team members , you will support the delivery of effective communication that aligns with the organisation's goals and mission.

Requirements

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the development and implementation of internal communication plans.
• Creating engaging content for various channels, including newsletters, intranet, and staff announcements.
• Supporting staff engagement activities, such as events and surveys to gather employee feedback.
• Collaborating with different departments to ensure consistent messaging.
• Measuring the effectiveness of communication efforts through evaluation techniques.
• Contributing to crisis communication strategies when necessary.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in internal communications or a related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.
• Ability to create engaging content tailored to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Understanding of public sector communication practices is a plus.
