Our operations network, known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for a proactive and solution-based professional who wants to join our team as an Investigations Manager.

In this key role, you will provide investigations as a service across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), investigating difficult theft and fraud incidents as well as policy violations and security-related incidents.

Key job responsibilities
  • Manage, develop, and resolve difficult theft and fraud investigations
  • Create and disseminate accurate and timely final investigation reports
  • Report and manage investigations within the approved case management system
  • Conduct data analysis and deep dives based on investigative data to identify trends and patterns

A day in the life

As an Investigations Manager, you will join a team of professionals who provide investigations as a service to business customers across Amazon’s end-to-end supply chain to protect our people and prevent loss. On a daily basis, you will investigate difficult theft and fraud incidents, policy violations, and security-related events.

To initiate an investigation, you receive an escalation or incident, either proactively or reactively. You will then assess, triage, and prioritise the nature of the incident by working out its severity, impact, scope, and scale. During your work, you will conduct difficult investigative actions to identify trends, patterns, and root causes with the aim of compiling all relevant information into a comprehensive evidential packet.

You will also seek to identify key person(s) of interest and conduct interviews, when required, to resolve your investigation. Upon completion, you will create a final investigation report which will support the business with an actionable, meaningful, and proportionate incident resolution.

You will also act as the principal investigative point of contact and subject matter expert for internal and external departments (e.g., legal, human resources, operations, outside counsel).

You will ensure a high level of quality through the conduction of regular audits on investigations and investigative data. Finally, you will support the Senior Investigations Manager by leveraging your knowledge, expertise, and results in contribution towards the overall Security and Loss Prevention goals and objectives.

During the course of your work, you will be required to travel both domestically and internationally across EMEA to support other teams and business units.
