Day-to-Day of the Role

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to children with Autism, helping them achieve their personal and educational goals.
  • Work closely with a dedicated team to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
  • Implement individualised educational plans and engage students in interactive activities that cater to their specific needs.
  • Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents to maximise student development.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and understanding of special educational needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with transferable skills.
  • A strong, confident approach and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
