Warehouse Team Leader

A1 Personnel are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader for a permanent contract on behalf of our client, a dynamic and growing organization based in Stanford le Hope.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational goals.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed, promoting a safe working environment.
• Monitor stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks and managing stock discrepancies.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, logistics, customer service) to meet business needs.
• Train, develop, and appraise staff performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and workflows.
• Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment and initiate maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Produce regular reports on operational performance and key metrics.
• Assist in planning labor and resource needs in line with business demands.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or similar role in a warehouse/distribution environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock control systems.
• Good understanding of health and safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Forklift license/certification (desirable but not essential).

Monday to Friday: 6am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm (rotating shifts)
