We are recruiting 2 Social Workers (UASC) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 HoursContract Type: Full Time/Fixed term for 24 Months

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Social Services 16 Plus Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £37,938 - £40,476 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
This post is a social work position within the 16plus team, with a specific role in supporting young people in care who are Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC).
The role will require you to support all looked after asylum seeking children aged 16 plus in making a successful transition to adulthood. In addition, the support will involve 18+ care leavers in their transition into adulthood and to prepare young people with the outcomes of their immigration status.
Within this role you will be required to provide a high quality service in relation to all aspects of the assessment and care management process which meet the needs of unaccompanied asylum seeking children and care experienced young people.
Social Workers qualifying after 1 April 2016 are required to complete the Consolidation of Practice qualification within the first three years of practice.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor.Up to date knowledge of current legislation Research and Practice issues in childcare.
Experience of working with children and young people their families and carers.
A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
