Social Worker
We are recruiting a Social Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 HoursContract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Tredomen - Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Children’s Services Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £37,938 - £40,476 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
As a member of the 16 Plus team you will be providing support to young people as they navigate their journey into adulthood.
Within this role you will provide an enhanced level of social work skills and expertise within the team in order to support our young people in care and as they transition out of care.
You will manage a caseload of complex cases within required timescales and assist the team to reach its performance targets. You will need to effectively work in a multidisciplinary way with partner agencies and contribute to the development of quality services.
Applicants must be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales or equivalent regulators in England, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
For the role, we ask that you have:
A Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor.Any Social Workers qualifying after 1 April 2016 are required to complete the Consolidation of Practice qualification within the first three years of practice.
Up to date knowledge of current legislation Research and Practice issues in childcare.
A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
