The Trustees of George Dixon Academy are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to the following post from September 2025:

Special Educational Needs Coordinator

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified member of staff to lead our SEND provision. Applicants will either already hold the relevant national award for SENCo's or be willing to work towards achieving this qualification in the first year of employment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring our pupils;
  • Have a commitment to inclusion;
  • Help foster a culture of high expectations;
  • Help drive our school values of being Grounded, Determined and Sincere;
  • Have opportunities to contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.
