Special Needs Teacher
Jasmine House School Heanor
We are looking for a qualified teacher to support the development of our school, Jasmine House, an independent special educational needs day school for young people with autism aged 11-18. Jasmine House School is part of Smoothstone Care and Education.
The successful candidate will help to deliver a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum and help to develop a therapeutic, nurturing environment set up to meet a range of needs associated with a diagnosis of autism including communication and associated learning difficulties.
You will be able to reliably work to instruction as well as take the initiative when circumstances demand. An interest in developing your teaching approaches and a desire to improve these students’ lives is essential combined with an ability to contribute to the overall development of our school.
