We are thrilled to invite passionate and experienced midwives to join our dedicated Saving Babies Lives team, working across The Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary. This role offers you the chance to make a real difference in maternal and neonatal care.

Main duties of the job

We're seeking a dedicated professional to support our team in the ongoing implementation, improvement, and monitoring of our care bundle and associated workstreams within Maternity Services. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating positive change and ensuring compliance with national and local standards.

Expect a dynamic work week filled with variety! You'll need to adapt quickly to changing demands and manage your priorities effectively—making diary management a key skill for success.

As part of your responsibilities, you will also complete a 7.5-hour clinical shift, allowing you to directly engage in patient care within the clinical environment of your choice.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • UK NMC Registered Midwife
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Practice Assessor
  • Degree / Diploma in Midwifery

Knowledge and skills

Essential criteria
  • Completed Band 5 preceptorship
  • IT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Awareness of the SBL Bundle
  • Team working skills
  • Understanding of clinical governance
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of Audit
