Southmere Primary Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our academy as soon as possible on a part time, temporary basis.

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant Level 1, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in a classroom with the teacher. You will support pupils to ensure they can access learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week / Term Time only plus 5 Days (39 Weeks) / Temporary

Southmere Primary Academy is a large primary academy with up to 420 pupils, including a 15 place nursery. The academy serves a diverse community with families from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Southmere is a good school with a highly inclusive ethos.
