Technical Business Analyst (Product BA)

apartmentGuestwise placeLondon scheduleFull-time calendar_month

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and detail focussed individual to join our fast growing SaaS team. You will play a crucial role between Product, Data, Engineering, Business Owners and Customer stakeholders.

You will have experience writing detailed product requirements, acceptance criteria and test scripts for software development. Bonus points if this was in a high performing technology start up that was serving enterprise customers.

We expect high output and energy from our entire team, we want people who make decisions, come with proposals for improvements, and who love shipping work fast and getting feedback from their peers in real time.

Every person in our team works with customers, and also as part of an internal cross functional product teams. This role will suit someone with good people skills, process oriented, loves the numbers and product metrics, and who is calmly organised and capable of uniting various work streams.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to get into a well funded tech startup at an early stage (pre 20 employees) and have a chance to grow from Technical BA style work into either more Senior BA work, or into Product Management and Customer Success.

Requirements

What will you do:

  • You will collect requirements and map dependencies of our product from internal and external stakeholders, using your own data analyses to help propose priorities.
  • You will ensure that product stories are 'ready to build'. Completing discovery ahead of time, collecting required credentials, access and resolving dependencies to allow engineering work to commence.
  • You will manage the user acceptance testing, approval, change request, and rollout of new products and features to our 16 restaurant brands across 1,500 locations.
  • You will write test scripts and prepare a test environment with data to ensure integration, regression and UAT testing is smooth and comprehensive.
  • You will work closely with the engineers to document technical specifications and implications of how the technology has been built, and how it is to be operated.
  • You will collect and summarise product performance data. You will create reports to analyse these metrics and distill these reports in a concise manner.
  • You will work hand in glove with the product leaders (our founders) to ensure their vision is being delivered in the build, and that it works well end to end.
  • You map errors and determine error reporting and triage, and what alerts are required, and where they surface.
  • You will implement process and tracking tools to ensure engineers can work a-synchronously on single pieces of product or technical component.
  • You will identify features or functions that would make our technology easy to use and operate for our restaurant partners.
  • You will support our marketing team with release notes and product feature details, for how to use our products and the value each feature brings.
  • You will document how the feature or product will be operated from a users perspective to enhance usability and ease of adoption.
  • You will know our software development life cycle inside out and document how these work on our internal WiKi, train others on how to better use our tools, and identify gaps in our development process e2e.
  • You will apply Agile practices to provide insights into how to improve our product, and especially the tools we use for requirement gathering, definition of done, testing and release notes.
