Job Description
As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organisation.
- Processing and recording transactions accurately and timely.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and statements.
- Performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
- Adhering to the company's financial policies and procedures.
- Attending finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.
- Contributing to the company's financial goals and objectives, and enhancing job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
- A good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
