General To organise and administer a 24-hour service for emergency medical presentations based on resuscitation, assessment and initial treatment. On call, duties will be shared with the existing Consultants. Current job plans are annualised to include annual and study leave flexibly.
The day-to-day management of the department and the available resources will be the responsibility of the duty Consultant. Resources should be used effectively to deliver the needs of the local population. Development of the Emergency Service will be in line with the policies of the Trust, Suffolk PCT and the Strategic Health Authority
