We are looking for a hardworking, flexible, self motivated housekeeper to come and join us within our busy Children's theatre department.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as an integral part of the team, be responsible for the coordination of all housekeeping and domestic services within paediatric theatres and work as part of the multi-professional team, to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

The main element of the role includes, cleaning, ordering of domestic stores (such as cleaning products, mops, various waste bags, cloths, linen, coffee room supplies), and re-stocking of areas such as theatre scrubs, together with other specified tasks as directed by the shift leader.

The post holder will be required to work closely with, support services, the multidisciplinary team to monitor quality standards, report deficiencies, and take appropriate action.

The post holder will ensure that the tidiness and appearance of the department is conducive to good patient care.

Patients’ privacy and dignity must be respected at all times.
