This is a post created for an enthusiastic and highly able Paediatric Haematology-Oncology trainee to gain clinical experience in Haematology, Stem cell transplant and Oncology specialties at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, at middle grade level.

The postholder will work at middle grade level in the departments of oncology, stem cell transplant and clinical haematology.

It provides an ideal opportunity for additional training in haematology, transplantation and oncology in one of the largest Principal Treatment Centres in the UK.

It is particularly suitable for trainees post MRCPCH (or equivalent) who wish to gain further experience in a large UK paediatric haematology / oncology centre or develop an area of interest, prior to a career in either paediatric haematology or paediatric oncology in their home country.

This post offers comprehensive training in paediatric haematology-oncology and stem cell transplant. We aspire to develop the next generation of leading clinical and academic paediatric oncologists/Haematologists.

The postholder will gain experience in haematology and oncology and work alongside the Junior and Senior members of staff to provide a middle grade service covering inpatients and outpatients.
