Twinwoods Heat & Power Ltd Bedford
We are a Wood Chip Burning Power Plant, and we are currently looking for a shift operator to carry out the following:
Ensuring the plant is operating within its parameters whilst complying with strict HSE rules.
Maintain site tidiness and general good housekeeping.
Desirable skills:
Experience working in the industry such as Gas or Coal power plants, Biomass, Anaerobic Digestion or Biogas would be an advantage, but not necessary as all training will be given.
Boiler Licence or any other relevant power plant accreditation or knowledge.
Previous experience is beneficial but training is a ongoing objective.
We are offering a competitive salary, that includes a shift allowance and has a raising scale depending on experience and completion of probation
Rotating 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off days and nights

Reporting to team shift leader, you shall be responsible for but not limited to day to day operation of the plant, making regular check of the plant and equipment, making adjustments, repairs and service of the equipment to aid the smooth running of the plant.
Monitoring the plant via a SCADA system (training given), maintain records and reports in various logs eg: daily checks, midnight readings and water sample testing.Ensuring the plant is operating within its parameters whilst complying with strict HSE rules.
